I am delighted to report that my recent article about exploring and fishing in the Big Cypress Preserve, one of the first national preserves in the nation, was featured in the Hidden Gems section of the August/September issue of Florida Sportsman. Located in south Florida next to the Everglades National Park, the Big Cypress Preserve was recently in the news as the home of the now-defunct Alligator Alcatraz. Excellent article! Great description of the waters. A suggestion to add to the loop road section would be to take a trash bag and leave the road better than it was. Shameful how much litter is left behind by idiots…..Thanks, Cindy
